Due to the rising concerns of COVID-19, the Club has officially announced that our 34th annual CFCC Club Championship tournament and 2020 Club Elections will be postponed until late this summer.

The 2020 CFCC Winter Open was held on January 10th -12th. 160 players participated in the 3-day event held at the Wyndham Orlando Resort. The tournament featured five sections: Premier, U2000, U1700, U1400 and U1200/Scholastic. Players had a choice of a 3-day or 2-day

The 2019 Autumn Open was held September 13-15. The event was held at the Wyndham Orlando Hotel on International Drive, a familiar venue to central Florida chess players, where many recent tournaments have been held. A sizable turnout of 147 players competed in the the 5-round event, which featured the option of a 3 day or a shortened 2 day schedule. The 2019 Sunshine Open was held on May 31 – June 2. The tournament had 113 players who competed in the 3-day event held at the Westin Lake Mary. It was the second consecutive year that the tournament returned to this comfortable and luxurious venue. The tournament featured four sections: Premier, U2000, U1600, and U1200/Scholastic.
