CFCC 2018 Jonathan Lee Scholastic Chess Scholarship
In honor of the late Jonathan Lee, long-time CFCC board member, avid chess player, and supporter of scholastic chess, the Central Florida Chess Club has created the annual Jonathan Lee scholastic chess scholarship award.
The award provides one (1) elementary school student and one (1) middle school student with five (5) 1-hour private chess coaching lessons and free entry into:
2018 National Scholastic K-12 Grade Championship
December 14-16, 2018
Rosen Shingle Creek Convention Center
Orlando, FL 32819
The two Jonathan Lee Scholastic Scholarship Award winners below were judged on the merits of their handwritten essays they submitted on, or before, this year’s extended deadline date of Oct 22, 2018.
The two winning essays were awarded by a majority vote of the members of the club’s Board of Directors who extend their congratulations to each of these young competitive chess players!
