The club wishes to congratulate Pranav Sairam (chesspilot01) & Andy Yang (andyyang005) for their 1st place tie in yesterday’s online Rapid tournament, with each player scoring 3.5/4 points after drawing their game in the final round giving them a combined prize payout of $32.50/ea.
Connor Eickelman (industrialnucleonics) & Sina Movahed (akbar_mo) tied for 3rd place with 3/4 points each and a prize award of $7.50 ea., while Sritej Sattaru (orlandochesskid2009) claimed our top U1800 prize with 2.5/4 points and a $15 prize award.
Other winners include ivangoponenko, f3e5g4, tombo1948 who tied for our top U1500 prize with 2/4 points and a prize of $5.00/ea., while Alexander Simes (apsalex) won our top U1200 prize of $15
We had 17 club players competing in yesterday’s Rapid online prize tournament that includes a results table listing all the players and tournament pairings, and we look forward to our next chess.com Rapid 15|10 online prize tournament on October 17th that starts exactly at 2pm EST!

Reminder of Chess.com’s Fair Play Policies For Online Tournaments
Chess.com has strict Fair Play policies and advanced software analysis tools regarding players who appear to be using some form of electronic assistance (e.g. chess engines) in making their moves in tournament games played on their platform.
In fact, after a chess.com review process of our May 9th online tournament, two of our players in that tournament, who finished in 1st & 2nd place, were flagged by chess.com for their unrealistic accuracy rate in games against titled National Master players. As such, both players had their accounts closed by chess.com and were disqualified from winning their place prizes.

The Central Florida Chess Club (CFCC) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization founded in 1987 to organize and host USCF rated chess tournaments in the Central Florida area.
Having organized over 390 competitive USCF rated chess tournaments over the past 30+ years, CFCC will not reward chess players who appear to be using anything other than their existing knowledge of the game when competing in any of our chess tournament events, whether online or over-the-board.
