The 2019 Autumn Open was held September 13-15. The event was held at the Wyndham Orlando Hotel on International Drive, a familiar venue to central Florida chess players, where many recent tournaments have been held. A sizable turnout of 147 players competed in the the 5-round event, which featured the option of a 3 day or a shortened 2 day schedule. The 2019 Sunshine Open was held on May 31 – June 2. The tournament had 113 players who competed in the 3-day event held at the Westin Lake Mary. It was the second consecutive year that the tournament returned to this comfortable and luxurious venue. The tournament featured four sections: Premier, U2000, U1600, and U1200/Scholastic.

The Central Florida Chess Club (CFCC) Class Championships were held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando hotel at SeaWorld, which was a great venue because the hotel was spacious, and the playing conditions were great. Going into the tournament, John Ludwig was the top seed, followed by Corey Acor
